5th Annual Chicago Zombie Pub Crawl, April 28, 2012
The CZPC is based on other successful Zombie Pub Crawls around the US, specifically Minneapolis. Former pH Cast Company Member, Alaina Hoffman formerly lived in the Minneapolis area and thought it would be an amazing event for Chicago. She pitched it to Co-Artistic Director Jason Geis, and the two were off and running in planning the first CZPC in 2008. The first Crawl took place in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood and we hoped to have 100 people. Needless to say it was a much bigger hit. Almost 400 zombies wandered the streets of Andersonville into Simon’s, Charlie’s Ale House and Hamburger Mary’s. The 2009 edition nearly doubled in size and we added In Fine Spirits to the crawl family. Almost 700 zombies rotated in and out of Simon’s, Charlie’s Ale House, Mary’s and In Fine Spirits. In 2010 we added the fine folks at @mosphere, The Call and Mary’s Rec Room added to the already amazing Hamburger Mary’s stop. Last year we added Farragut’s to the Crawl and they were a welcome addition to the family. The 2012 Crawl is the 5th year anniversary and we promise we are going to make it the best yet.
